This is how panthenol works
In technical jargon, the active ingredient is also called dexpanthenol – a provitamin B5. After absorption through the skin, it is converted into pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) and stimulates lipid synthesis. In other words, it ensures more lipid formation. This way, it improves moisture retention in the skin to make it more elastic and supple. Moreover, it increases the skin’s natural protection barrier and thus protection against external stress factors. Thus, it plays a key role in regenerative skin metabolism.

The special feature of panthenol is that it is particularly well tolerated and can be used on all skin types – even very sensitive skin. Preferably, the active ingredient is used for dry and damaged skin.
