Great!
This Reformulation is NOT the Same

I have relied on the Babor Skinovage Calming Cream Rich 5.2 for a few years. It was great for those times when my skin was very dry and needed something extra. This new formulation is not the same! Very disappointing. Not only does it not moisturize as well, the new formulation is goopy and thick. Really thick. Did nothing for my skin. It was better before, I don't know why they changed something that was so good. I will not repurchase.

I have always loved the common cream rich but this new product would not be my favorite. It is very thick and hard to apply. I called and spoke with someone and they told me to"melt" it in my hands. I have had other cosmetic companies tell me things like this and I think it is silly to thick is too thick and that's what his product is. It's still as moisturizing as the old formula and I like the fact that there's less lipids but it is not as good as the old formula because the thickness makes it too hard to put on
Extremely thick cream

This cream is VERY thick, and has also no slip whatsoever. It does not irritate my hyper sensitive skin, but it does not absorb well at all, and leaves my skin looking very shiny. As a result, I use this at night only. I have to really tug at my skin to try and rub it in; although if I use a serum prior it does help a little bit. I would have returned this cream but it is inconvenient during this time of year. I would not recommend this cream because of the consistency.

I gave this "rich" a try instead of the regular calming cream, which I use every morning as my daily moisturizer. This rich version is much heavier and leaves my face too shiny to use under makeup. I will use it at night instead. It is very soothing and effective as a night moisturizer.
